Product Description: There are two types of honeydew , the golden and white. The golden is round and when ripe has a golden coloured skin and green flesh. On the other hand the white is more elongated and has a green/white skin and a paler green flesh.
Storage- Ripen the honeydew at room temperature and store in the refrigerator. When cut, cover with cling film and place back in the refrigerator.
Nutrition- "Melon Honeydew" is a good source of vitamin C and potassium. Melons also provide small amounts of thiamine, riboflavin, nacin, iron, magnesium and calcium. Melons are low in kilojoules making them ideal for the weight conscious. 105kj er 100g.
"Melon Honeydew" Uses- All melons are delicious chilled and eaten fresh or balled/chopped and used in fruit salads or on kebabs.
