Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on a combination of common-sense practices. IPM programs use current, comprehensive information on the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. This information, in combination with available pest control methods, is used to manage pest damage by the most economical means, and with the least possible hazard to people, property, and the environment.
"Grapefruit IPM" is a member of the citrus family. They are a round/ oblate fruit with a flattened bottom with a fine pale yellow skin and are approximately 10cm in diameter.

Grapefruit IPM Uses- Grapefruit is customarily a breakfast fruit, chilled, cut in half, the sections loosened from the peel and each other by a special curved knife, and the pulp spooned from the "half-shell". Some customers sweeten it with a little white or brown sugar or honey. Grapefruit segments can be added to the fruit compotes, sweet and savory salads, used to make marmalade's or in juice concoctions as a refreshing beverage. grapefruit segments or juice can also be utilised in chicken, pork or duck dishes as an accompaniment or as a tart marinade or sauce.
Nutrition- All citrus fruits are rich in vitamin C as well as other micro-nutrients, certain phyto-chemicals and fiber. Citrus fruits also protect against infection and cancer. They are an essential element in any healthy diet. Grapefruit is high in vitamin C, potassium, several carotenoids including beta-carotene. The white pith contains pectin and bioflavonoids which makes grapefruits an excellent antioxidant food.
