Zesty Hummus
Serves: 4

    • 2 Tins of Chick Peas – strained and rinsed.
    • 3 tablespoons of Tahini
    • 2 medium cloves of garlic, crushed
    • 1 Lemon (juice only)
    • 2 tablespoons of fresh coriander finely chopped
    • Cayenne pepper to taste (1-4 pinches)
    • 1-2 decent pinches of Himalayan salt (to taste)
    • Cracked pepper (to taste)
    • Water – if needed to aid blending/processing
  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor or high speed blender.
  2. Process on low until the desired consistency is reached*.
  3. Place in bowl or dish and serve with crackers.

Alternatively, you can use a potato masher or mortar and pestle to grind the ingredients – this will give you a more rustic textured hummus.

*Note: an average blender might not be able to correctly do the job. You want a thick paste-like consistency, an average blender is not powerful enough to mix it and runs the risk of damaging your blender.
