Raw Vegan Chocolate Mousse
Serves: 4-6
Preparation Time: 5 mins

    • 4 large avocados – As ripe as possible*
    • 6tbsp Cacao Powder
    • 5 tbsp Coconut Nectar



Combine all ingredients well, until as smooth as possible. You can simply mash using a fork and a bowl. Alternatively, ripe avocados will pass through a sieve easily using the back of a spoon, then you can stir through the Cacao and Coconut Nectar. As another option, if you have a blender with a tamper attachment* this will achieve optimum smoothness.


Can be served as a soft mousse as is, or chilled in the freezer and scooped like gelato.



 *The riper the avocado, the smoother the mousse.

Alternative to Coconut Nectar, Honey or Maple Syrup are other great sweeteners to use (NOTE: Maple Syrup is not raw.)

Because this is such a simple recipe, it can be adjusted to taste. Your may like it sweeter, or like more of a dark chocolate flavour, in which case you can add more Cacao and/or sweetener of your choice.

*A Tamper is essential for the blending option to aid with mixing while blending.
