What does BFA Approved mean?

Products like water, salt, and cosmetic products made up of primarily natural unrefined or mineral-based ingredients, are not certifiable as organic.
Because water is packaged in its natural state, it is not labelled as organic. It is not of agricultural origin. Water is not covered under the scope of the National Organic Standard.
The BFA put in place the ‘Approved Product’ program to assess such products like Water to ensure that they are natural and environmentally friendly. BFA approved means that the product and all of the ingredients have been approved by BFA and have met their audit checks to prove no artificial chemicals have been used in the bottling of the process.
