Convenient and easy to prepare, just add water, shake and pan fry. Bonus, even kids can make them! Perfect for weekend breakfasts, enjoy on their own or add your favourite toppings. With a long shelf life these are great to keep in the cupboard and are very popular to take away on holidays.
Preparation:
1. Shake bottle to loosen dry mix.
2. Take off lid but don't discard.
3. Add 300mL of water or fill bottle with water to level indicated and replace lid. Shake bottle well for 1 minute.
4. Remove lid to release pressure. Replace lid and shake for 1 more minute.
5 Preheat fry pan and grease well.
6. Pour batter into fry pan and cook over medium heat for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown. Turn over to cook the other side. Remove from pan.
7. Makes 12 x 8cm pancakes.
Ingredients: Maize starch, maize flour, sugar, buttermilk powder (from milk) (4.5%), whole egg powder, whey powder (from milk), raising agents (sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate), mineral salt (monocalcium phosphate), iodised salt, thickener (xanthan gum).
Serving Suggestion: Delicious if served with honey jam, butter or maple syrup.
